Find your way around at eZ Systems

This post aims at people and/or community members that are new and recently discovered ez Systems and it's products such as eZ Publish. Hopefully this post will act as a guide to all available sites and more important the available information and where to find it.

About eZ Systems

eZ Systems is the creator of eZ Publish, an Open Source Enterprise Content Management System. With an enterprise Open Source business model, we combine enterprise software with Open Source code and total product responsibility. This combination makes it possible to combine the openness and sharing of the eZ philosophy with a sustainable business model.

Main Site

eZ Systems hosts there main site at http://ez.no. The site contains a wealth of information, from product information to company and developer news. It pays off to browse though all of it's available pages. If you want to keep up to date, subscribe to their news feeds:

Documentation

Through the main site, you have access to full technical and user documentation. These documentation pages also contain a lot of information on several extensions such as eZ Find, eZ Flow and eZ Webin. Developers can find API documenation on these pages.

Besides official project documenation the main site hosts articles on specific topics such as features and how-to's. If you are looking at best practices or examples, don't miss out on the case studie pages.

Community

eZ Systems hosts all community resources at http://share.ez.no/. This recently launched community portal contains Articles, Tutorials, Blogs and of course a Forum. If you are new, the forum is a great place to interact with experienced users and community members and ask questions.

Project and Extensions

eZ Projects, the Community Contribution corner, this is what the slogan says on http://projects.ez.no/. This is both a platform for community members and developers to host there project e.g. extension. You can find a lot of solutions which extend the eZ System products such as newsletter, OpenID, CMIS extensions and more. So if you are looking to extend eZ Publish, start here.

There is more

Of course there is more outside the official sites. One "must see" resource is eZpedia, the eZ Publish encyclopedia.

The free eZ Publish encyclopedia that anyone can edit. eZpedia has accumulated 595 english articles since 2006. We encourage you to create an account and create or edit a page yourself.
